Stuff I've stumbled across the Internet #3

2 Apr, 2024

It's been a while, huh? I have a couple of ideas of what I would like to do here - summaries for each post, nicer styling, self-hosting... But let's stick to something which is doable righ now:

Table of contents.

Because I like when at least one small piece of my life is organized. Enjoy!

Amazon ditches 'Just Walk Out' checkouts at its grocery stores - who would have thought there's no innovation behind Amazon ideas! Just simple exploitation.

Biker is fed up with flat tires and create a bike with magnet to get rid of metal bits - I don't have to tell you this should be the responsibility of the city, right?

Seen but not heard: The New York Times failed to quote trans people in two-thirds of stories on anti-trans legislation in a one-year period - should I be surprised? Unfortunately, nope.

The woman who spent five hunder days in a cave - surreal.

Google agrees to delete Incognito data despite prior claim that’s “impossible - Google stores billions of data from private browsing, how cool is that, huh?

Cool stuff

I'm riding more on my bikes!

(Oddly specific) fun fact

Apparently you can convert your Specialized Stumpjumper 2021 models or later into mullet with the use of mullet link. It's quite pricey, though and of course you need a new wheel and tire. I'm willing to try, but since it's a considerable expense and I wouldn't be able to install mullet link by myself (so changing back is a serious operation) and I'm so inexperienced I won't probably gain much from this conversion anyway, especially if I have no idea how to tweak it. I found MulletLink review for Specialized Stumpjumper if you would like to know more.

I haven't cleared my backlog yet, so there's a chance that another post will appear soon.
